The Best of Musicals 2012

With 'The Best of Musicals', one of the worlds most lavishly staged musical productions returns to Austria and Germany. Even more artists from the original casts and top soloists from London's West End, supported by numerous dancers and a live orchestra with world-famous musicians will offer the audience entertainment at the highest level.

All members of the ensemble have been personally cast by Deborah Sasson together with the MGA Academy. The opera singer and leading lady in the famous production of the musical 'The Phantom of the Opera', who has received several awards, knows exactly what is required both from singing and performance. "I have been performing a long time on Broadway and worked together with many outstanding singers in my extensive career. I am very proud that we have been able to engage the best and most experienced musical artists of London's West End for 'The Best of Musical'", the native American said in praise of the high quality of the production.

More than 250 elaborately colourful costumes, acrobatic dance performances and impressive video projections transpose the audience into the fantastical world of the musical. The entertaining presentation, enriched by anecdotes and background information, takes the audience, in a single evening, on a journey through 50 years of the history of musicals. From 'West Side Story', 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'The Lion King' to 'Dirty Dancing', World Wide Events presents the absolute highlights and the best-known and most successful hits of the world's greatest musicals in this spectacular show.
